But this ones pretty specific =)

I play mostly Metal and Hardcore, but a little bit of punk too. I'm looking for something in the $700 or under range, preferably new.

THINGS IT MUST HAVE
Floyd Rose or equally good tremmelo system.
High Quality wood like mahogany
Thin neck
Archtop
HOT PICKUPS

Things I'd like it to have
Neck Through
Lightweight

Things I hope it has but it doesn't matter as much
Inlays on 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th etc frets
2 volume, 1 tone

Guitars I've been looking at:

It has just about everything I want, but I don't know if the pickups are any good and its also the most expensive one I've looked at.

Don't really like the finish. And I'm not sure about active pickups(don't want to change the battery), but I'm willing to try new things. Also heard liscensed floyd roses are kinda tempermental unlike the offical ones, but I don't know much about tremmelos(which is why I'm asking =) )

Looks kinda plain. Don't know about the pickups and its not neck through =\. But i've heard the ZR is a wonderful tremmelo system thats alot easier to set up than a floyd rose and just as good. And theres only 1 inlay at the 12th fret. I'm stupid...I'll get lost.

So, give me some suggestions or comment on what i've picked out so far. I really want to make sure I buy the perfect guitar.

This is the one I bought, I had all the same criteria as you do. I never put it down.

If it's too much for you, there is another guitar from schecter that is worth every penny.

The S series or a Jackson is your best bet. BC Rich no good.

Did you actually look at the guitar though? Its got some nice features. And its mostly the cheap BC Rich's that are crap. From what i've heard they've got quality guitars in the NJ and exotic series and a good custom shop.

Those both look like really good guitars. Only thing I don't like about the bottom one is its a bolt on.

Yeah, unfortunately for a price under 700 many guitars will have a bolt on. What I would do is go to an ebay store called Strings and Things Guitar Wholesale. If you are patient you may find the hellraiser with a small blemish in the finish. the price is then dropping by a lot, I got mine from the store for around 600 instead of the 800 it's worth.
