A good amp? I'm thining about getting a AVT100 coz its in my price range, I tried it out and was pretty impressed, any other amps that are as good as or better for the same kinda prices?

I play Paul Gilbert kinda guitar playing

Have £300-350 to spend

And want it to be a good amp to practice with but also good enough to gig

thanks

They aren't great amps. They're better than the MGs, but not by enough to justify what you pay. Three questions:

What styles do you play?
How much do you have to spend?
Will you be using it for bedroom practice, band practice or gigging?

You could probably do better with a small valve combo, depending on your budget and styles.

There are loads of amps better on it - can't comment on prices though as you didn't actually say how much it was...
Actually called Mark!

laney vc30, maybe? might not be br00talz enough for you, though.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
