I've narrowed it down to about 3. I play most genres, so I would like a pretty well rounded guitar. I don't know what amp I'm getting yet, but I was thinking a Crate. My price range is around 500. Here are the ones I've narrowed it down too:

Ibanez RGR320EX - http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ibanez-RGR320EX-Electric-Guitar-512359-i1172556.gc

Schecter C1 Blackjack - http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ibanez-RGR320EX-Electric-Guitar-512359-i1172556.gc

Jackson MG Series DXMG Dinky - http://www.guitarcenter.com/Jackson-MG-Series-DXMG-Dinky-Electric-Guitar-512239-i1147624.gc

Schecter Tempest - http://www.guitarcenter.com/Schecter-Tempest-Custom-Electric-Guitar-102114626-i1148798.gc

Thanks for the help, Dillz

Honestly, i like the Tempest. Looks amazingly cool. Id say to try out a Fat Strat or an Epi LP Standard. And by Crate i hope u mean Palomino. I tried a Mexi Strat on one, and u can do almost anything with it. From clean to blues to some crunchy tube od, its awesome. And a Fat Strat should be better, as it allows for more OD. Outta the 4 tho, the Tempest is the coolest by far.

And another question: How think/thick are the necks on them, specifically the Tempest.

I have a Schecter S-1 Blackjack and I like it a lot. It's really heavy and has a very warm and dark tone.

I'm not a big fan of the JB, though.

I'd say either get a C-1 Elite/Plus and put in new pickups, or get the Schecter Tempest .

The Ibanez has the Edge III trem that has reliability issues.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

You need to fix the link to the Blackjack. Alright, the neck on the Ibanez is damn thin. That's not my style, just doesn't feel right to me, but it may for you. The Jackson and the Tempest are about the same. The Blackjack is thickest but is still pretty thin for a guitar of it's weight and size. The Tempest has the best feel to me. If you want a Tempest, there is always the Hellraiser tempest to think about also. It's more but it has a better set of pickups and I think the Cherry Red is killer as well as it's inlays!
