So if I was to buy an amp without an EFX loop how would I use delay? I play metal and the amp in mind is the Soldano Avenger.

You could use the delay after your guitar still.

delay in front of a high gain amp sounds awful to me, i tried to do it for a little while because I was too lazy to use my FX loop, but it is quite clutch, dont put it in front.
