A composer said (I cant remember his name) something along the lines of "There are still many beautiful things to be said in C major"

I do a lot of C major/A minor and D major/B minor.

3/4 or 4/4. Also, 7/8 is nice.
Don't really have a fav key signature, but if I'd have to say one it's Em.

I deniately use 4/4 and 6/8 the most, but 3/4 and 5/4 are useful to switch things up a bit.

As far as my favorite key, I really don't know, maybe A Major?

And D minor or A minor.

If you're referring to alternate timings, then I guess I'd have to say 5/4 or 7/8. 5/4 is great because it lets you switch into the familiar 3-3-2-2 grouping, which is good for a less erratic sounding section.

I also love 12/8, because there are so many ways you can break it up.

Cant say I have a favorite key. I don't even know what I'm playing in the majority of the time.

Erm, D Minor / Harmonic Minor / Augmented Fifth (Spanish Gypsy hehe) / Phrygian.

Swap D for C if you want. Basically all my bands songs. Guess what genre we play.

Time Signature - 6/8

and I don't even know how to determine what key signature I'm playing in

Meh, a lot of my riffs these days end up being in 7/4 when I didn't even intend them so I guess that.

As for keys....D minor?

4/4--I hate messing with that ****.
My fav is standard, but Drop C can give a song a nice dark sound.

I've used feck loads of time signatures lol. I use 7/4, 5/8, 11/8, 21/32 the most. Experimenting is awesome.

Favourite key? Bb. I'm really getting into Jazz and I've noticed how common it is there.

5/4, 7/8, 9/8. I also find 13/8 and 5/8 much easier to play in than might be expected.

Scales I love just writing songs which skip madly in between scales really...I don't have a favourite.

to be honest, I thought they were awful. I mean some of the songs our drummer's written was better than their stuff.

D Minor is my fav key because i find it more practical on guitar

but then again G minor is my fav on piano.

Keys really don't matter to me as long the song is the same.

Thats a tuning not a key signature.

and since i havent taught myself jack about keys and theory, or attempted to write music, i dont have a favourite key signature. Though from my woodwind instrument days, id love a blues piece in 9/8.

7-20/8 and 6-10/4 are always awesome, especially if mixed in with 4/4s or other combinations like 7/8 + 9/8 + 4/4 + 3/4 + 5/4. 3/4 and 5/4 are good classics, but 4/4 will always reign supreme in the long run. Nifty time signatures can do a lot, but they need to be modest.
