I'm a student at college, taking his AS Music Tech Course.

So now we have an assignment:

To record a popular piece of music or Jazz.

Basically, I need some decent songs that I can get people to play.

So no, I don't want anything that technically challenging, just something that is fairly easy to play, but not boring.

So far I have a list of:

The Pretender - Foo Fighters
My Hero - Foo Fighters
Photograph - Nickelback
Califorication - RHCP
Pretty Handsome Awkward - The Used

So if you can give me some suggestions along those lines, it'd be great help!

Rules:

1. No stupid posts, I don't know anyone that can play guitar well enough to rip solos like Pantera or Dream Theater, so don't go there

2. I have a female vocalist, she's a good singer, but I don't need any belters.

3. I will not do Freebird.

4. Must contain a vocal track.

5. Try to keep it fairly sensible, I'm not asking for a serious thread, but I do need some help.

Thanks UGers!

...never mind.

How about "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC? Or Zeppelin's "Living Loving Maid?" (Does classic rock count as "popular music?)

Popular music is very vague yeah XD

I pointed this out to my teacher and this s his definition of popular:

Commercially available.

So yeah, thanks for your posts! I'll keep them in mind!

I went, there was no one home.
