what are some of the best comedies to come out since 2000? I want to rent some. I prefer American (since I'll understand it better), but UK ones are fine too.
#2
Comedy program or comedy film? Shaun of the Dead ranks really highly if you ask me. Tv-wise....I can't actually think of anything at the mo, not after 2000 anyway.

Best comedy of all time has to be Dumb and Dumber. But since you're looking for recent comedies, I thought Superbad and Knocked Up were both hilarious.

Hot Fuzz is Hi-larious, Chris Rock Never Scared is so funny, dude I can't answer this question. It's too vague and massive.

What's wrong with older comedy, you miss out on so much.

Umm.... SCRUBS?!?!?!

For shame.

j/k

Anyway, yea, I agree with 7DaySkeptic. Shaun of the Dead is awesome. Reno 911! Miami was a good movie.

I can't think of anymore at the moment, though. I'm not in the best thinking mood right now. :haa

My post 2000 TV comedy recommendations:-
UK: The Mighty Boosh, Spaced (2nd series was 2000, wasn't it?), Garth Merenghi's Darkplace
US: Arrested Development, Scrubs, Californication (Not completely a comedy, but the most recent thing I've seen to make me completely collapse in fits of laughter. And Cry. Once)

Monty Python. Even though it's a few decades before 2000 and is very British.
The will to neither strive nor cry,
The power to feel with others give.
Calm, calm me more; nor let me die
Before I have begun to live.

Arguments are to be avoided; they are always vulgar and often convincing.

Point of order:
Monty Python is not a movie. Monty Python is a group of comedians who put out a radio show, a television series, and several movies.

That's right, I'm the humor Nazi.

dude that old show from Comedy Central "Trigger Happy TV" was probably the funniest show I've ever watched.

You really think I didn't know that?

I'm not going to be a pedantic snob when the term 'Monty Python' in its own right is sufficient in recommending comedy.

Shaun of the Dead, Superbad, Anchorman, Dodgeball, The Simpsons Movie, Wedding Crashers, Hot Fuzz (but that's very British)... How on Earth did I run out of films so quickly?

Well, Scrubs, Peep Show, That Mitchell and Webb Look and Family Guy are all pretty good bets for TV.
I play by my own rules. And I have one rule; There are no rules... but if there are, they're there to be broken. Even this one.

Confused? Good.
