If I have no tone pot, the sound will be like when a tone knob is turned all the way (10) ?

Or will it be dull like when you got the knob on 0?

Thanks

emm i wouldnt have said so.
then again the wolfgang has a maple neck/fretboard and a maple top.
and maple is a pretty bright sounding wood...

i still dont think it affects it too much though!

Having no tone pot is kinda like turning the Tone to 11, due to it being like the pot is all the way up, but since the pot is not in the circuit there is less resistance. Its not like it will kill your ears, but it will be just a tad brighter.

Okeeey... Lets put it like this *thinking*
I'm a dude that always have the tone knob turned all the way up (brightes sounding).
Should I get rid the the tone or not? I need that hole...

More like tone on 11.

Even with the pot at maximum resistance, there is still a complete circuit through the pot and cap. When you remove the pot, you no longer have a 250k (or 500k) resistance in series with the cap.

Lots of people disconnect their tone controls to get that little bit more "edge".

Or they get "no load" tone pots that have the carbon removed at the clockwise end.

EDIT:

:EDIT: By the way, should the cap still be in the circuit or should it go?

Thanks!

u'd just need to cut the wire of the hot input signal on the tone pot(s).

and it will sound like it's at 11, maybe like 12 for a 250k pot. ur tone is still drained when the pot is at full like everybody else said.

Personally I love the tone knob, I have no idea why people get rid of it. I use it all the time.

The cap goes aswell if you are removing the pot.

If you have no tone control then I would add a treble bleed mod to your volume pot.

No, a treble bleed cap on the volume pot would make it even more bright.

Ya, thats what I meant.

If you have no tone control your only other tone shaping device is your volume pot. And volume pots are useless imo when turned down cause your tone gets all muddy. The treble bleed mod fixes this.
