Used to describe how companies sell you the same thing in different packages till it stops selling, and then release the same thing only different.

Kind of like apple with ipod. First there was shuffle, nano, and iphone, they just kept coming out with till it stopped selling and then they'd make a new one.

Like music, how some people would buy the same album, only in different forms, cassette, cd, and then online...

It's either called "obsolete something" or "absolute something"
