ok, this year my dad asked me instead of getting a few little things, i could get one big thing because he doesnt want to do a lot of christmas shopping since i got 2 brothers and bunch of relatives. Only downside to this plan is that i would have to pitch in a little if i were to get a 600 USD amp or so.

Anyway i was thinking of upgrading to all tube amp if my dad does decide to do this. I play mostly just rock, from clean rock to hard rock, and i would like a more of a modern voiced amp instead of classic voiced tone. No Metal!! I was looking at a YCV50blue (might be a tad too expensive), Peavey Classic 30 (might have too much of a classic tone), B-52 AT-112 (have heard they had some problems, but not nemore?).

Any other suggestion of a different amp would be welcome! I will be trying out all of these amps but i would like a certain different number of amps to try out. Last time i went to a guitarcenter my dad wanted me to leave after 15 minutes i was there. Thanks so much!!

Peavey classic 30 is excellent.
It's not necessarily classic voiced, but it's just not modern.
It can handle hard rock very well.

How about one of the crate v series? with a od pedal you could get some harder rock into it.
reach in the darkness for what you can find travel great distance in your mind.

You can get hard rock with a peavey classic WITHOUT a pedal.
Plus, their cleans are excellent.

The Traynor YCV 40 is a little more modern voiced than the 50, and a little less money, too. The Palominos are nice sounding amps, but if you think the Classic 30 might be a little too "vintage sounding" for you, the Palominos probably won't do it for you either.
You Don't Need a halfstack.

Definitely a YCV40WR, with the V30 in there. If not, the YCV40 is fantastic as well.
