30W tube is loud. The Laney will be louder than your AVT, even if that's 100W, and it will sound heaps better.

i just thought there might be something similiar in the SS

but im open minded to trying new things so that Laney 30 sounds good

Laney VC50 off ebay. I got mine for £275 and Gilbert used the amp to record a lot of stuff.

EDIT: Those amps I posted before are all SS, btw.
