dimebag put as much emotion in to 9/10 of his solos as hitler showed when putting jews in syanide showers.

Personally, I'd go with something along the lines of Search Bar.
When you saw me sleeping
thought I was dreaming
of you...

I didn't tell you
That the only dream
Is Valium for me

durrr....
I'd say the cool **** is about small-mindedness, oppression on all levels, hypocrisy, losing one's body/mind through various addictions, decay, sickness, fear, mental instability, lack of any ambition, apathy and ignorance. Those kind, and dark takes on imagery and scenery make for some pretty cool stuff.

I don't know..The whole "brutal" effect has worn off me. Both musically and lyrically. Singing about children who gets their ass raped by a hacksaw just doesn't cut it anymore.

For me it has to be brutal in a way that it hits me right in the heart. blablablablabla

Yeah, that kind of brutal hasn't been brutal since '93. I think of all bands, Death has the best themes for brutality... understandable, scary, and very very real.

Getting chopped in half, facing death, fear, losing your mind, molesting decapitated people and raping the exhumed.
