Ok, so i have a Charvel Model-1. The bridge is a Floyd Rose, very old, that the parts are no longer made. There are a few pieces that had to be changed out before i owned it, it was given to me by my uncle. So i basically know nothing about the parts, so dont ask. Whenever i try and put in new strings, the high e string either snaps, or comes out of the bridge.

Now my question, should i purchase a new bridge or a new guitar?

Which would be more cost effective in the long run?

If the guitar is in good condition except from the bridge, get a new FR. By the way, do you have any pics of said guitar? Charvels are awesome.
