Try Goldwave...it's free and I've had it for a long time on multiple computers and it's safe. Just open up your file in there and save as mp3. I don't have that type of file handy so I can't test it out for you, but it's free so no big loss.

iTunes:

Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Importing >

> Import using: select mp3 and a choose a bit rate.

then just right click your song and "covert to mp3"


if My Space says that the file size is too large make the bit rate smaller and try again.
