I think that Kurt Cobain had some interesting solos. It's great sometimes to hear some solos that make you think "what the fuck?

I liked a lot of Kurt Cobain's live solos, always made me think, to me his songs weren't technical or heavy, but in tune with spirituality... I love the In Bloom solo too, its so weird and dissonant.

I've always liked the solo in "The Judge's Daughter" by Green Day.

I'd have to say The Kids Aren't Alright by the Offspring has a simple, catchy solo.

But FTW, Deep Inside by Incubus, pretty much most off of Fungus Amongus and Rogues by Incubus.

Also, Dani California by RHCP, Cicatriz ESP and Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt by Mars Volta

EASILY "Another Girl, Another Planet" by The Only Ones, that, or "In Too Deep" by Sum 41. Dave FTW!

Well, Lost Prophets are a pop-punk type of band and their solo in 'I Don't Know' is pretty awesome.
