i just got "Blizzard of Ozz", and Randy Rhoads' guitar playing is AMAZING!!
it's such a shame he died so young. But the Ozzman goes on strong!

Ozzy has some of the best songs, love 'em. Not to mention Crazy Train is one of the most fun songs to learn on guitar.

If you're looking for excellence in guitar, pick up Tribute. Ozzy and Metallica are my two favorites. Some of the best songs guitar wise for Ozzy I think would go to Crazy Train, Bark at the Moon, No More Tears, Mr. Crowley, Paranoid (Rhoads Tribute Version), Road to Nowhere, and definately check out Suicide Solution off of the Tribute album as well.

Just saw him in concert a few weeks ago.

HE"S F***ING AWESOME

LONG LIVE THE OZZMAN

so yea he's pretty good

Where to start....

I probabaly wouldnt be where i am today music wise if i hadnt been bred on Ozzy and Sabbath music from a young young age.

It has been my ambition for many years now to save up and travel to America to see him live, believing that he would never tour in Australia. But he is, in March of next year and im absolutely bouncing off the wall about it.

As for songs, some pretty good ones have been mentioned.

Going with the "Tribute" CD, the feedback/whatever you want to call it going into Children of The Grave is incredible.

Some good songs of his you should look out for are:

Hero
Breaking All The Rules
Miracle Man
Perry Mason
Road to Knowhere
Goodbye to Romance (First time i watched this on the DVD and he talks about Randy the hairs on the back of my neck all just stood on end, was really weird)
Demon Alcohol

OK, so im going to end up naming most of his Discography if i dont stop, but those are some good songs to get listening to.

Has anybody else compared the real Blizzard of Ozz to the new one?
I find that I just can't listen to the new one, it just feels so... off.

Ozzy is good, but I prefer Black Sabbath over his solo any day.

I like Ozzy but Sabbath owned.

i love "bark at the moon"....and crazy train of course.

as for black sabbath, i like paranoid and iron man.
#26
His RR-era stuff was the best. Lake E. Lee was great, too, but Zakk Wylde is BOLL*CKS.

'Bark at the Moon' and 'Crazy Train' are his best, imo.

Predictable enough.

But I like Black Sabbath waaay more than Ozzy. Master Of Reality is an amazing album.

Threads like this are what makes UG suck.

no, posts like that make UG suck. The guys just trying to get into Ozzy. Sure, I noticed that he misspelled "Osboune" and that the only song he likes is crazy train. Yeah, he's a stereotypical ozzy n00b, but you don't have to be a prick.

My fav ozzy (or any of his bands) songs are:
Sweat Leaf (sabbath)
Planet Caravan (sabbath)
War Pigs (sabbath)
Paranoid (sabbath)
The Wizard (sabbath)
I don't know (ozzy)
crazy train (ozzy)
diary of a madman (ozzy)
Flying High Again (ozzy)
Mr. Crowley (ozzy)
Suicide solution (ozzy)
Thunder Underground (ozzy)
Bark at the Moon (ozzy)
Perry Mason (ozzy)

Check out those. Son buenos.

True, true.
You should listen to Type O Negatives version of that song. I prefer the original version over Type's, but they did a damn good job at covering it.

--------

HUGE fan Ozzy Osbourne here. I plan on gettin' all of his cd's and what ****ing not. HUGE!!! I wanna meet him in person so badly...I wanna see him on stage, I wanna get his autograph, I wanna give 'im a hug! You just gotta ****in' love the guy!.

I like Sabbath better with Ozzy, and I don't like Ozzy as much without Sabbath, they're just a match made in hell.

I saw Heaven and Hell play a concert, and damn, was it amazing. Try listening to Heaven and Hell/Mob Rules more.

I can't think of the other one with Dio

Besides Dehumanizer, which I think wasn't that great.

Dude, I never was big on Ozzy until I started buying his albums. Holy ****, they're amazing! Especially Blizzard of Oz and No More Tears. Amazing.
I woke up this morning and I got myself a beer. The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
