Alright this has received the MOD stamp of approval.

Here's how it will work:

Step 1) Nominate what you think were the 3 best albums released this past year, keeping within the Pop-Punk/Emo genre of course. Please make all of your personal nominations in a single post. Please don't nominate an album unless you're positive it came out this year. Re-releases do not count.

Step 2) Change your mind. You know you're going to. So if it happens post your new three choices but indicate in the new post that these are your altered nominations.

Step 3) Somewhere near the end of the year (probably mid-December) polls will be put up with each album that received at least 5 nominations.

Step 4) Vote.

Okay, now since an album only needs 5 nominations to get into the poll then once one has that many don't keep nominating it. Pick something else. I'll try to keep this first post updated as best I can so you'll know which ones have enough noms already.

Other than that I don't mind a little conversation in the thread, but don't get too far off topic.

Albums that are in bold have enough nominations already.

GuitarHero... Yes Coheed falls under the genre, but you're supposed to pick three. Edit two more into this post.

Fusanti... Tankian is nowhere near PP+E.

Everyone please read the first post before randomly posting something.

2.) Secret Weapon - MxPx

i ****ing hate chiodos so i would be very greatful if nobody nominated bone pallace ballet. thanks.

You know, I hate all the albums you listed, but if I told you not to nominate them, it would defeat the object of the nominations, so don't tell others not to nominate certain albums. In fact, I might just nominate Chiodos to piss you off.

I'll do my nominations when I've thought about it more.

I'm not even that big a PP&E fan so I can't think of a third, but I'm sure the new Coheed is good. I just haven't got it yet.

Well it was released in Europe on January 12th 2007, so it still counts surely?

Or doesn't Europe matter

If it doesn't, then I'll take it out, but nothing else has really wowed me this year.

The Fall of Troy - Manipulator (better than Chiodos times about a googleplex)
Coheed and Cambria- NWFT
By the End of Tonight/Tera Melos- Complex Full of Phantoms split (both of these bands have more talent in one ass cheek than any other band)
and discard the evidence

Gear:
Kay semi-hollow Vintage Series guitar
Epiphone Valve Jr. Tube Head
Epiphone Triggerman 4X12 Cab

Fall of Troy are Hardcore last time I checked. They don't count.

EDIT: I've half-assedly updated the first post. Circa Survive doesn't need any more noms so any more for them will be ignored.

1) Brand New-TDAGARIM
