Valve Junior, but its quite cheap

Peavy Valve King (maybe), or a Laney Combo

Used DSL 401 is probably your best idea, although it depends what music you play

Find me a DSL401 for 300 dollars and i'll buy you a BMW.

what styles of music are we talking here, TS?

A used Peavey ValveKing 112 Combo is probably your best bet.

+1@ Crate Palomino, unless you can find the valveking for under $300.

Great list Rutch. On re-reading this one I'd have to say Solid State means not liquid or gas.

I figured it out.

AHEM

15 watt valvetronics is more than enough, shop around and you'll get it for 100 quid.

or $200?

For new the Palomino is your best bang for the buck. Peavey Valveking Royal 8 is nice, but I'm put off by the 8"speaker (Palomino has a 10".)
