The Tapco. Decent software (not the best though) and good Mackie preamps.

yeah i like the look of the tapco, espcially all the software. it looks better than the toneport ux1 because of the guitar tones it produces.

I'm in almost exactly the same postion as you, but I thought I would get the Tapco because of Vista drivers, so I think I will have to get the M-Audio Fast Track or the more expensive Audiophile USB.

vista drivers? does that mean it only works with vista?

Noo, all the interfaces out there will have drivers for XP, cos that was the common OS when they were made. However if you want to use them with vista, you need new different drivers to make it compatible.

Some manufacturers have started developing drivers for Vista, but tapco hasn't as far as I can tell. And our new computer will probably be vista so I have to get one that has vista drivers available.

kk, yeah im positive im going for the Tapco. Anybody got a reccomendations for a mic under £30?

Behringer C-1...can't remember if it's under 30 pound but it's a gd affordable mic.
