Got a 1988 Epi. Les Paul (the ones with the openbook headstock).
I chucked a floyd on it, ect.

Now I need a nice set of pickups to match it.
I play alot of classic rock, modern rock, jazzy blues sorta stuff.
The pups are 'ok' but the bridge is WAYYY to hot for me, it's got such a high output and it's just to much for me and the music I play, it just cuts way to much.

Any suggestions?
I was thinking SD JB/Jazz, a SD '59 set or BKP Stormy Monday Cal. Set.

Is there any black people on UG?
I don't think a lot of black people play guitar anymore.

def BK Mules, me and Gabe have them and they are just the best for L.Ps - suprisingly they handle really hi-gain superbly well and vol. roll off into cleans is fantastic - pricey but the best

I've heard good reviews from Corduroy's pups too, do you think they'd be worth a look into?
