i was wondering if any of you had an opinion on what pickups i should get for my sg.
i like playing older music like led zeppelin, some black sabbath, ac/dc, and others
but i want it to have good tone.
i don't really know a lot about pickups except that they change your tone a lot sooo
any advice would help

true. besides, of most guitars out there, Gibson's stock Pickups are pretty good. an amp is the way to go.

get rid of the amp and get yourself a nice valve amp. The FM sounds horrible, like a can of bees. The SG is an amazing guitar, you can make it sound so awesome on almost any valve amp. For your type of music I suggest Marshall, Laney and maybe Vox.

you could always get Gibson pups, like the classics or 490's. or Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates. those would all increase the tone of your guitar.
