Alright, as of now I have a Schecter Synyster Standard which works beautifully except for one thing: it has a floating bridge.

It is a big pain, for me at least, to tune into alternate tunings (Eb, Db, C, etc.), as the high e string becomes too tight so notes do not ring when frets are held down on the fretboard on the e.

i'm looking for a guitar under $500 that is good for playing metal, does NOT have a floating bridge, and has 24 frets. All help is greatly appreciated!
