Me and my friend are going to customize a Squier Affinity strat. We are going to get a new neck, pickups, pickguard, pots, etc. The problem I have is with the bridge. It has a standard six hole tremolo bridge on it and I wanted to put a Wilkinson trem on it but with the six holes will it work? Also if it doesn't are there any good six hole tremolo bridges that you could could use frequently and even dive bomb it with locking tuners?
kahler tremolos are expensive but do not require any routing in the back like floyd roses, its like a bridge that just sits on the top, no holes needed to be drilled for strings and such. the problem with kahler is the price...and that floyd roses are considered to be better by most people.
Check www.guitarfetish.com. great for this type thing, and don't forget new tuners.
