That works.

You could also just play E major over the whole thing. (Yes, I know it clashes with the C, but the C's just one note in the bass, and if you're soloing an octave or two higher, it won't really clash as long as you don't play any C#s. It sounds kinda cool, IMO.)

You can also play E major over every chord except the C chord. Over the C chord, you should play E minor (thus effectively.. C lydian)

to let everyone know.. i ended up goin with a mix between E major and harmonic minor.. and then theres a G major run as a "bass line"
