Members of UG, who enjoy the finer things in life, I ask for your recommendations of cigars to smoke. My 18th birthday just passed and me and a few friends were going to celebrate with cigars. Which in your opinion are the best?

Thanks for your help.

Cant go wrong with honey dutches. If you wanna get something really good though just browse a local smoke shop and pick the most expensive thing you see

I want to do that, over a game of poker or something. Not reguarly or anything just once.

Macanuda's. Do you people realize how easy it is to get Cuban cigars into the U.S.? Just go to Mexico and buy some Cuban's. Then just remove the band on the cigar the says "Made in Cuba". The customs people don't check the quality of the cigar.

+1 to everyone that said Dutch Masters. To be honest ive only ever rolled blunts with them but i bet they would be pretty good just to smoke. Grape Dutchess if you can find them. They smell real nice too.

for plain smoking -

Black N' Milds, they have the greatest taste and the most pleasing smell

for blunt rolling -

Tequila Swisher Sweets

don tomas - not sure which type, but any dark don tomas will do. these smoke very well and are pretty tasty. they last quite awhile too so i hope you're in for the long haul.

CAO brazilia samba. these are shorter. still very dark (i prefer dark cigars. there's a lot more umph to them.) very tasty stuff.

stay away from black and milds and swisher sweets. this is a birthday celebration, not prison. not the ghetto.

I second Macanudo. Also Punch has some really good yet inexpensive cigars, and Davidoffs can be good too.

is it true that cuban cigars are illegal in america? I've had a couple of Romeo y Julieta, Romeo No.2's (the ones in the red and white tubes). They seem pretty good, but I've not smoked any others to compare them to. They were about $15 each.

I'm gonna agree with Macanudos(sp). Easy to find and pretty decent.

And to the person who mentioned going to Mexico and getting Cuban's. Good luck. You think they didn't already switch the labels on you. Thats why customs doesn't care. Besides A Cuban cigar is not all that special. Its more about having them since the U.S. doesn't want you to have them.
