Crank the hell outta that clean channel and it should work out nicely. idk if it will be fuzzy enough for it, but it would do it easily with a bit of EQ'ing. Go try it. mess around with the clean channel cranked up, should do it nicely with yoru strat. Can you play it?

EDIT: not perfect but kinda nice. would sound better cranked clean channel

Haha. My Classic 30 is out of commission with a blown out power tube at the moment, but my other guitarist left his Classic 50 2x12 here so its all good.

If you get the Classic 50, I suggest sticking 2 greenbacks in, or green berets which are greenback clones from www.wharehousespeakers.com those are great and the price is even better. Retube it too, the sovteks they stick in stock are ****.

GET THE FREAKING THING!!!

Seriously, it's one sweet amp.
Getting RHCP is easy. JJ's sound great in it, gives it a nice blusey feel.

They're EL84's.
Or are you talking about the older ones?
If you do mean 6l6, they are decently long lasting. All depends on how you play your amp.

if they are new then you wont have to worry about if for 2 yrs or so. they will loose their shimmer, then totally die out.

it depends on how often you use it. this reminds me i really need a tube swap in mine.

mainly know that if you crank the **** out of it for a year, you will definitally need new tubes. but if you run it low for a year you will get 2 years out of it.

If you crank it (like really crank it), the life will be shorter.
But if you only use it for practice, they'll last a while.
Anyways... it's cheap to replace the tubes, and it gives you a chance to fool around with the tube configurations. Can you post pics? If it has 6l6's, it may be the older ones.
The newer peavey classics have el84's.

Erm... I dunno, I don't think anyone cared to figure out, because it's pointless to flip the switch on and off repeatably.
Well, lets confirm if it's the old classic, or the new ones. What does it look like, how many tubes does it have in the back?

yea. ull use your tubes alot more, and bound to mess something up. if you do that to that amp i will come to phoenix and kick your butt. my grandma lived in prescott valley so i cna go stay with her next door neighbors they love me . haha just dont abuse it and your tubes should last between a year and 2. i think mine still has stock tubes. damn JCM900s

^ well yea but if u like that new tube sound, then its best to change them more often.

but if you liek the worn in sound then you can stand to change them less often.

me im poor so im forced to like the worn in sound. But WTH you have a classic 50 so i should shut up. lol
