So i was out looking at guitars and in one shop i came across a gibson marauder for £600, it had a nice ballsy sound and a really nice feel to it, before i played it i noticed the pickups looked a little loose (although that can be rectified easily i assume, just need a little tightening up on the screws) and it didn't have its original machineheads (a set of grovers), when i asked about the pickups i found out they weren't the originals and that it was modified, i also found out that the pickups were coil tapped, so is there anything to be weary about if i was to buy this or another peice of modded equipment?

just make sure that all the changes were made by someone who knows what they're doing. or have the shop repair guy check over everything before you buy it so there aren't any surprises.
