Alright, I'm going to guitar center to buy a guitar in a little while, and when I go, I have to buy something from there, because it will be probably my only chance. My budget is anywhere from $500-$600 CDN. I play classic rock and metal for the most part, but I want the guitar to have a nice clean as well. So far I have my eyes on the Schecter C-1 Blackjack , the Michael Kelly Patriot Custom , and the Hagstrom Super Swede .

Basically, I'm asking for any other guitars to look into so I can make the best decision possible.

thanks in advance

What amp do you have and what music do you play most of?

Not all guitar centers have all the guitars on the website, btw.

I am a big fan of Michael Kelly's, but I think the Patriot Black's pickups would be more suited for classic rock and metal.

I have a Schecter S-1 Blackjack, but I don't think it'd be that great for higher gain metal.

The Super Swede has pretty vintageish pickups, also.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

I have a Traynor YCV40 with a "high gain" tube package from eurotubes.com...I usually play more metal, I guess, but it changes depending on what i feel like playing from day to day..

I didn't know very much abotu the super swedes but i assummed that was the case..

Also, I thought the blackjack would be great for metal, isn't the JB really high output?

Sorry, I don't really have much experience with pickups..

The JB is high output, but it's very thin sounding.

It can do certain types of metal (80s Hair Metal in my opinion).

I don't like it.

Oh, alright, I didn't know that. There's a lot of mixed feelings on the JB..

Do you have any other ideas of some guitars I should try out?
