So me n my buddy were thinking of dropping our tuning to c standard and i was just wondering if there was a way to adjust the guitar to make it so the strings aren't so loose, aside from changing to a thicker gauge string. I know the truss rod is for the bow of the neck, but would adjusting it make any difference in the tension of the strings? thanks for any help
you will need to sadjust your intonation again if you do this.
no. truss rods will not affect tension. use heavier strings or a longer scale. you can't adjust the latter, so you're stuck with strings.
i wouldnt try that. just get thicker strings. 11's will most likely work, i use 12's
what kinds of guitars are you useing?, what kind of bridge?, locking tuners?
