Anyone got any good suggestions for a $400 Electric guitar? My cousin wants one for Christmas so I minds as well buy him one since I'm the only musically talented one in the family. He apparently wants a Gibson, Epiphone, or a Kramer, since he always plays GH and loves those guitars. Nooblet.

Yup, got him a Roland Cube. Little one though so he doesn't blow his house down.

Id get em a 58 V or a 67 V. I especially like the 67 Epi V with the Schenker finish on it. Altho one of the Cherry sunburst Flametop guitars from Kramer are pretty nice, and only about $250 or $300 at most.

Get him an Epi G-400. Good luck with getting a Gibson for under 400, and the Kramers, I've heard a lot of bad things about their post-takeover stock. So far as Epiphones are concerned, I'll bet the les paul will cause him to complain a lot with the weight... Ask him about what sorta controller he has, or what sorta ones he likes the look of in the game, & work around that, as I get the feeling there's 1 of any of em in that price range - have a look as www.musiciansfriend.com & see what you can get.

He prefers how the Les Paul looks since he always drools over mine. But he wouldn't mind the SG. I'll probably get him the latter because of his light weight and since he's an Angus Young fan. One question though, regular G-400 or 1966 G-400? Same price.
