Searched and looked on all pages and didn't find Deep Purple
I don't know why because personally i rate them up there with Led Zep
Anyway you know the rules and no trouble

I think made in Japan is one of the greatest live cd's what do you guys reckon?

I know that there is a Deep Purple thread floating around somewhere, but perhaps it is time for a new one (besides, this may give reason for Dane55 and Master Shake to reappear).

I own Made in Japan, Machine Head, and Perfect Strangers, and I really enjoy them all.

I prefer Lazy from Made in Japan to the studio version, but it seems to go by so quickly! An excellent song, though.

Apart from that, I tend to lean more towards the studio versions than the live versions for songs such as Highway Star (because the solos are epic) and Space Truckin' (the live version carries on a bit long, in my opinion), but Child in Time live is amazing simply because of the energy.

Deep Purple Thread

It didn't take that much time to find.

And with that I have reappeared! And the discussion will go on in the other thread, see you.

EDIT: It was almost a miontch since I last posted here :O

(And close this thread now or I'll never stop!)

anyone see their tour of australia in 05 it rocked

I saw them in Perth last year 06, thought it kinda sucked. Mostly because of the sound... it was just plain... crap.
I was right in front of Morse and basically only heard him which I concluded wasnt a very good thing. He might be a good guitarist but I dont think hes the guy for Purple and in all honesty.... he was boring imo

It would have been good to see them live in their hayday, with Blackmore.
