Hey there

I'm looking into getting one of them, to improve the clean sound of my guitar, as I use a Peavey 6505 =P

Can anyone tell me which is the best out of them/best value for money etc, and what differences there are between them =]

Thanks

G•Major is the best bang for the buck among the TC G-series, IMO.

nstead of spending a ****load of money on something like that, go for an analog chorus pedal/sonic maximizer/EQ....or all 3. i have a 5150 II and use all three of those to improve it, plus ill usually A/B/Y it with a nice rivera tube combo

for how much that would cost i would get a Roland JC and A/B them together for cleans

When you get two amps and a line selector switch, so you effectively use a different amp for clean and a different amp for distortion.

it's like a stompbox that you use to alternate between 2 amps (in this case)
it divides the input in 2 outputs, so you can switch between those 2 outputs

something like:

guitar---»effects---»a/b box
a) goes to amp 1
b) goes to amp 2

and you can change it with a single stomp

Basically an A/B box splits the signal into two different lines A to your dirty amp then B to your Clean amp and you just choose between them

but then I'd have to get a seperate cab for amp 2?
wouldn't it just be cheaper for me to buy the £150 g thing, or get a chorus pedal or something...

well your looking at spending at least 500 on the T.C. then plus a controller to control it plus midi cables.

When you could get a Roland JC-77 for 350 plus an A/B box and an additional guitar cable and your done for probably less than 500. And it will sound better, even with a chorus the 5150s cleans are still sub-par at best. But the rolands sound amazing.

Oh you wont need an additional cab as the Roland is a combo

I got my G•Major for $369, plus tax. A controller would be extra.

y i heard the controller isnt any good so i wouldnt go for it...
anyway instead of buying lots of pedals i would save up and take the g-major, for its the best effect-rack i played so far!!!
my gear:

guitar: Schecter c1 classic
amp: Engl fireball
box: Engl v30 4x12
effects: g-major
in future: ESP eclipse, PRS Custom 24...
