Hey guys, I have an electric guitar missing a high e string(skinny one) and I was wondering if I can use an another string such as a g, b or d and still get it to tune up to the high e pitch because I have a few extra laying around? Thanks in advance.
you can use the b, but it'll be very tight
I wouldn't do it, and I don't know if it's a good idea because of the nut's little space that's made for the e string
If you have a trem, it might not stay in tune very well, cos it'll be unbalanced.
