What are some of your favorite exercise (Guitar not for your body)?
Some that you made up.
And what purpose do they serve.
(I did a search and didn't really find anything).

Post your favorites that you made up.

Mine:
Purpose : Alternate picking and also hammer ons and pull offs.
I also do string skipping with this one. And yeah I know, it doesn't follow any scale, but I kinda like the way it sounds anyway.:

----------------------------------5-6-7-8------------------------|
--------------------------4-5-6-7--------------------------------|
------------------3-4-5-6----------------------------------------|

I use the same thing as you only that I continue going up the frets when I reach the E string again to the 19th fret and then I go back, its really nice for everything legato, alternate, string skipping, still haven't learned arpeggios so I dont know that a minor sweep but i think that Malmsteen has something like that in his hot licks video

My favourite exercise is: 1-2-3-2-3-4 on on string. I work my way up. So it would be: 1-2-3-2-3-4-3-4-5-4-5-6... and so on.

made this one up, just a slight variation on a normal scale pattern.

normally use my 1 and 3 finger, but sometimes 1 and 4 to strengthen the pinky

try it out!

and reverse it, going up and down repeatedly, this one helped me a lot =]
