like the lyrics are like con-insiding with whats going on in your life and the mood of the song and all that

I don't know if it's "speaking to me" or whatever, but I'm really liking Dream Theater's "A Change of Seasons" right now. I just love how epic it is, and the feeling of it, and how there's so many awesome parts of it.

Too bad I don't actually have the song, and I don't download music, so I'm stuck with watching videos of it on Youtube and playing along with it on Guitar Pro.

You know a music scene is fucked up when it becomes difficult to keep track of who killed who, who committed suicide and who alledgedly engaged in cannibalism.

Look at it this way- everyone rags on air guitar here because everyone can play guitar. If we were on a lawn mower forum, air guitar would be okay and they would ridicule air mowing.

I want to run
I want to hide
I want to tear down the walls
That hold me inside
I want to reach out
And touch the flame
Where the streets have no name

I want to feel, sunlight on my face
See that dust cloud disappear without a trace
I want to take shelter from the poison rain
Where the streets have no name

Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name
Were still building
Then burning down love, burning down love
And when I go there
I go there with you...
(its all I can do)

The cities a flood
And our love turns to rust
Were beaten and blown by the wind
Trampled into dust
Ill show you a place
High on ta desert plain
Where the streets have no name

Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name
Still building
Then burning down love
Burning down love
And when I go there
I go there with you
It's all I can do.

Parasite by Nick Drake.

Not even so much the words, really. I just really really love that song with all of my heart.

Plus, it's fall, and his music always makes me think of leaves changing.

Dawg, Nick Drake is my hero.

That entire Pink Moon album is incredible for an acoustic, let alone an album in general.

Oh man, I know. I only played acoustic for like.. The first two years that I played, but I also practiced electric style playing on it. Once I heard Nick Drake for the first time, I wanted to do the more traditional, folky style acoustic playing type thing. And I started experimenting with alternate tunings a lot more. I can't remember the last time my acoustic was in standard.. I think it's in open C right now, which is the only thing I will play slide with.

At the minute, I'm really loving "Black Bubblegum" by The Dillinger Escape Plan.

Such an Un-Dillinger song, but so, so awesome!
