Right, just bought this off eBay collecting it tonight.

For £40, couldnt resist

Serial number is 6076052, which accordin to serial dater makes it made in Korea, July 1986

Wondering if someone out there could give me some more info on this?

It's red, got pickups by the looks of things, I see a fretboard but from the picture I can't tell if it has a headstock, though presumably it does because the strings all appear to be on there.

You're welcome.

The body looks fake to me. Could be just an Epiphone neck. Not sure.

1986 was an interesting year for Epiphone because that's the year they were acquired by a group of investors.
You've read it, you can't un-read it!

I can't say for sure it's fake I have seen several odd looking Epi Explorers over the years. With out seeing the headstock it's hard to tell for sure. I do have to say I never saw one with a trem. In 86 Epi started using a lot of the Gibson designs for the Explores, Vs, etc but they say Epis version of whatever. For a while they did Explorers with a little different body style I forget what they called them. I just saw a red one some where but didn't care for it. I remember when GC had them and they were around $100.00 to $129.00 this was in just several years ago. I guess for £40 roughly about $80.00 USD it's not bad.
How does it play and sound?
