Hi all, im looking for a couple of new pedals to go with my rig.

The sounds i use for our tunes are:

Crunch/Distortion
Clean
Chorus
Flanger

Ive currently got a jcm 800 half stack and i use a DMM and an MXR 10 band eq.
At the moment im using my boss me-50 to give me the flanger effect so i could firstly do with you reccomending me a decent flanger pedal (needs to be true bypass) as the me50 is pretty crap.
Secondly, i need a decent boost for my lead/solos. Im using my mxr 10 band at the moment but it gives off way to much fuzz from my amp so i could do with something different, maybe a tubescreamer? But would this give me the same problem as the MXR and give of to much fuzz??

My jcm can cover the crunch/distortion easily and i can kinda get an ok sound for clean from it. Then the DMM gives me a good chorus. So its just the flanger effect and a boost i need.

My band is like indie/rock/punk.

Nice one, Si

personally, i loved the "wylde overdrive" (zakk wylde sig) from mxr for that clean, yet crunchy hardass overdriven tone.

but to be honest, the only real way to buy is to try.

what pedal do you think would be best to boost my lead though? Somthing that doesnt distort to much or anything though

Sell the ME-50 and use the money toward pedals.

Are you looking for a volume boost for solos? If so, BBE Boosta Grande.

you could always use an overdrive pedal or something and just turn down the OD just to boost it...

This pedal may be more than you want to spend, but there's the TC Electronics Stereo Chorus/Flanger.

Are you on a budget?

I would highly recommend the Marshall Regenerator, great sounds, true bypass, and it has 2 chorus sounds, flanger, Vibe, Phaser and Step phaser (of course not at the same time, but noone ever does that anyway, you could always get two)

and, best of all, you can hook up an expression pedal and controll the speed of the effect with the pedal! It's awesome, i love it

For chorus, look into either the EHX Small Clone or Clone Theory pedals

EQ Pedal for your leads, boost the mids and volume to desired so it stands out more, perfect.

It shouldnt do that, MXR are known as one of the best pedal EQ makers...hmmm.

Im stumped then. I say try another one in a store and see if its just your pedal.
