*waits for poll*

I'm assuming you'll only give us amusing, remote areas.

In that case, I have to say Javanese Gamelan (Gamm-a-lann) rather floats my boat.

EDIT: Suprisingly, you did not. Anyway, I must choose Western Europe, seeing as most of my favourite music derives it's roots from the original heavy metal movement in Britain. However, the music I listen to comes from all over Europe and America.

Switzerland is south of Germany, Scandinavia being the north of Europe.
Spain and Portugal are generally bundled with France, Germany and Italy as Central Europe.
UK and Ireland can't really be compared to Spain and Portugal culturally.
Also theres no southern Europe, eastern Europe, Middle East or Far East.
And generally, Russia is considered part of eastern Europe.

I'm too picky I apologize.

western europe. clapton, led zeppelin, rodrigo y gabriela, AC/DC (technically they're Scottish), Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath, and the Who. then north america. But Western Europe owns the American music scene!

Britain is definitely home to my favorite music.
The USA and Canada have some gems as well.

Scandinavia has some really good bands, and obviously Jamaica had Bob Marley.

They are indeed, but until I checked once I always thought they were Madridilenos.

LOL

Get a map mate.

Britain is not south europe. Switzerland is not north europe. This is an insulting generalisation.

EDIT: Oh, I see, you said west europe. Well the other two things I said are still true.

That Central Europe thing is complete rubbish mate, it's Western Europe.

My fave music comes from Western Europe, but it's all from Britain.

All over the world, but a lot of my favourite music has it's origins in England (Punk, Indie, DnB ect) but the actual bands I listen to come from everywhere, so *shrug*.
