i was looking to try and find a 3 octave guitar neck(30+ frets...i think) i saw MAB with a 30 somefin fretboard and i thought it would be pretty sick to get one. i dont know if its even possible to attach it to my les paul. so where might i find these guitar necks or can i even attach it with a set neck guitar.

Lets do the math. One octave = 12 frets. Two octaves= 24 frets. Three octaves= OMFG!!! 36!!! In all seriousness though, why do you need that in the first place?

Or you could just get a 7 string. which adds a whole new world of playing.

Wouldn't a seven string add a whole 5 notes to playing?

(assuming you don't drop tune haha)

Get a whammy pedal? that'll let you play notes higher than your fretboard allows.

there was somebody on here who used to have a 30-something fret neck, dont remember who it was tho. and that was years ago, so they may not even be around any more. but they do exist, even if the upper frets are almost unusable because they are so narrow. its like sure, you can have all these frets but good luck using them.

so why can't anybody realize that you already have almost 4 octaves on ur neck???

3 octaves on just one string is retarded.

Asomodai is the guy who used to have one (hey, i used the search bar!). it was a Washburn EC-36. i dont think you could just attach it to any guitar, so you would have to get a guitar made for that many frets. probably expensive since they arent in high demand.

No your pretty much out of luck on a set neck LP. Its bad enough getting to the 20th fret on a LP dont know how 30 would begin to work.
