I just found this interesting deal on MF.
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/DOD-YJM308-Yngwie-J-Malmsteen-Signature-Overdrive-Pedal?sku=150039
I was wondering, since it's cheap, should I get it?
I will be playing a strat through a peavey classic, and I need something to push my peavey into some more metal lead tones, but can double as a boost sort of.

Thanks!

reviews look good...especially if you're just using it as a boost. For $30 why not?

I've been using the DOD YJM308 almost since it's been released. Well worth $30. The price on this pedal has been up and down over the years? From $70 down to $30, back and forth not sure why. Very durable pedal with big knobs so you can adjust with your feet if you don't want to bend down while playing. Heavy-duty on/off switch, never had a single problem with it, doesn't get sticky at all. It does add a bit to the high end, but it's a great OD. I've been putting it up against many OD's over the past few years:

-Boss SD-1
-Digitech Tone Driver
-Marshall Drive Master (wish I would have kept)
-Marshall Guv'nor (the original)
-Boss Turbo Overdrive (discontinued)
-MXR ZW-44
-Boss OD-3
-Ibanez Tube King
-MXR Dist+

And I just recently got a BBE Green Screamer, still playing around with the BBE to see which I like best. I've kept the DOD YJM308 out of all the others, so far. Kick ass little OD pedal.

If I've got a chance tomorrow, maybe I'll record some clips if you'd like? Let me know what you want to hear.

Hey,
I would love a sound clip.
Maybe of you playing some clean, then little bit of od, 12 oclock, and maybe all the way to dimed.
Thanks!

I may just buy it anyways.
I"m leaving on a hunting trip tommorow, so I'll probably order it tonight so it'd be nearly here once I get back.
