My guitar is an S470 (ZR trem).

1. The whammy is kinda loose in its "socket". Is this normal? if it isn't how do i tighten it more?

2. Is it safe to do that Vai/Dragonforce thing where they lift the guitar by the whammy bar?

well, I know that it ain't good for your tremelo if you lift your guitar with it

Yea. The socket is stable but the bar wobbles slightly. I heard herman li uses a S470 though...

i lift my guitar up like Vai/DragonForce all the time, my trem is still good. But if it feels loose, don't, go get it checked out.

if you want it to sound really dirty just rub some dirt on your amp...
