so my bass broke, [you'll see it in an earlier thread]. my dream bass is the schecter stiletto, but i only have about 300 dollars saved up now. I found a 100 dollar squire J on craigslist. do you guys think i should wait and see what comes, or does the potential for my skills to decay outweigh anything?

It'll be much nicer to play on the schecter, see if you can borrow some money from your parents and stuff.

If you really need to play a bass, find a friend with one

eh, id rather not borrow money from my parents for this [plus I'm college, theyre doing enough as is]. Hopefully i can get a seasonal job over the break

Ahh okay. If you can get a job, definatly go for it!

Buying the Squier will only hold you back from owning the Schecter. In the long run you'll save both time and money.

just save up. You can find the stiletto custom or elite for 550 US and 600 USD respectively, so just save, and if you have anything you can sell, then sell it.
