I read somewhere on the Gibson site that it's gonna be around the $2500-$3000 mark initial launch, then a cheaper standard model available in Q1 of next year

to much for a price for the price of them you could go custom shop, for example.

Esp
Jackson
Schecter
KxK
Ligra
gear.

Schecter Loomis sig.
Engl fireball.

Since your normal LP standard is at a mere $2000. I'd say something in between $3000-$5000. Because
A) its new
B) Gibson Robot nametag
C) They like to make their guitars expensive.

Far too expensive to be more than a gimmick.
The Laney Thread are big and clever. No exceptions.

I don't see how someone would pay such a premium to be lazy and not have to tune the guitar. Cool product in concept, but damn... does it really take that long to tune that you just can't be bothered???

On stage, saving 15 seconds to tune is a big helper. Plus, you don't have to bring multiple guitars with different tunings. Its all there. Expensive: Yes. Fad: Maybe
Helpful: Definitely.
Be cool.

i think...if your too lazy to tune your guitar...you dont deserve one...
