my new guitar had some buzz on the A string, so i upped the action a bit by using the allan wrenches included to screw these things clockwise, but my friend was like "Stop that if you do that a lot your neck is going to F***** snap." he told me i should do like a quarter turn a week or something like that. but some buzz went away i want to get rid of all buzz but should i listen to him
You don't adjust action with the truss rod, you do that by raising or lowering the bridge.
depends if u adust the allen on the headstock yes u are screwing it up but the allens at the bridge the no

in all seriousness, don't. and ^ yes. adjust it at ur bridge. the tiny allen screws on the saddles.
