highly unlikely, loss of the songs integrity will be iminent once attempted with only one guitar

alot of 60s/early 70s bands have 1 guitar songs, like Cream, Rory Gallagher, Black Sabbath etc.

Tell her
"I could be playing this *inserts Job For a Cowboys Doom Cd*
but i'd rather play this *inserts *David Crowder followed by Brewster*"

Clapton or Hendrix can sound good with a lone guitar.
It's all in how you dial in you tone too. Make sure to focus on your tone A LOT before you play to make sure it sounds good by itself. Make sure there's more bass than average.
