Well, if the shop is local, just try it out. Can't be a total waste of time - at least you won't be wondering if it's a good deal.

Generally, it doesn't seem that great. It doesn't even have that much power.

I've found that the Peavey heads I've tried are usually good for the price, but their tonal ranges are pretty limited. It's almost like the knobs don't really do much.

I'd personally skip it and look for a better deal somewhere else. Don't forget Craigslist too - that's where I got my Ampeg SVT-3 Pro for like $400
