im looking for a distortion pedal, and im stuck between an Ibanez Smash Box and a Boss Metal Zone.
theyre both at a great price and have the range i want..
but i cant seem to compare all that well.

so which one?

and as a second question: which would be better for an industrial guitar sound? (i like playing a wide range of things, but getting that sound would be GREATTTT!!!)

thanks.

Electro Harmonix Metal Muff!!! The best distortion pedal in that price range, i own it myself and couldn't be happier, most people here are going to recommend the Metal Muff over the Metal Zone.

but i have only heard bad things about the Metal Zone and i haven't heard anything about the Smash Box

Go for the Metal Zone. I have a smash box and the damn thing isn't sturdy at all. Played 2 shows with it and the footswitch broke. Not a bad tone, just not sturdy.

So you're stuck between a rock and a hard place then?

They're both pretty wank, save up for a Metal Muff.
