Who remembers that game? I'm not talking about this 2004 or Tournament ****, I'm talking original Unreal. It was like one of the first decent FPS game which had an online function. I used to spend ages on Deathmatch in that Deck12 map, whoring it up with the over-powered ASMD. Ahhhh, good times.

I remember when the demo came out (in '97 I think), everyone stopped playng Quake 1 for a few months.

The engine was quite revolutionary at that time.
Dear God, do you actually answer prayers?

Yes, but only in a way indistinguishable from random luck or the result of your own efforts.

Tss... Unreal was rubbish fool; Half-life came out just afterwards and slaughtered it!

Unreal Tournament though; now that's a game! Not the new ones though, but Unreal Tournament Classic.

Good times, good times (just finished a game a couple of minutes ago, actually).

I can only guess, but I'd say maybe the Unreal Engine?

Since then most shooters have been based on one of those.

The Unreal engine.

The engine is the program that handles the game's physics, graphics etc, i.e. that actually makes the game run.

It's got to be reaaaly crap if it won't run Unreal Tournament Classic.

What's the requirment for that game again; like 64mb RAM?

My friend just sent it to me the other day actually. I've yet to play it yet.

I've got some other older games like wolfenstein and the first call of duty. also, Quake 1-3

No, The Ripper was in UT, I assumed that was also considered "oldschool"

I have the Original Unreal too, but UT was just so much better.
