So i'm getting a laptop for college, and i was thinking about going for the apple macbook. To be honest i'd rather have a macbook pro, but it just isnt in the budget. So i'm looking on their site, and i see their refurbished section. I glance over and i see a Macbook Pro for only $100 more then a regular Macbook. My questions to you guys, is are refurbished laptops a good idea? i mean am i gonna get ****ed over? It says if any defects are found, they were repaired and were tested all over. So yeah, anyone have a refurbished computer/laptop? anyone have bad/good stories of refurbished items? Thanks guys.

Often times, goods get classified as "refurbished" because someone returned a perfectly working product and they had to repackage it. Or it also could've been a manufacturing defect which they fixed. In any case, I would go for it because the company guarantees you that it still works, and they should have the warranty for it.

Its a gamble. Sometimes they're in great shape. Sometimes a braindead moron fixed it and you've got a laptop that costs more to fix than it did to buy.

Also. leftover porn. Nobody wants to buy a computer with someone's tranny anal porn on it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but arent refurbished items atleast "reset" so it doesn't give me what the other person had?

I think you will be safe with a referbished Macbook. I think I read somewhere that they get a completley new casing or something and they are tested well. Also, Macbooks are great, I've had mine 3 months now and it is amazing! However, Apple have just released a new OS so you may want to take that into consideration.
