I thought that Ibanez' Prestige version of guitars were thier "best" but I was looking at the RGA121 Pres. and the regular RGA121 is $50 more? what's the difference besides finish?

they seem like they would sound very very similar, so you might be better off with the prestige, it also comes with a case.

Look closely at the logo on the headstock, or the Ibanez website for that matter; they're both Prestige and very similar.

By the way, as far as you didn't know, eventhough Prestige series instruments are amazing, you can get even better ones, which go by the name of J. Custom, which are limited to Japan.

An example (mainly because I like posting pics):

I guess you could say LACS (Los Angeles Custom Shop) is even better, but they're much harder to find, seeing as only endorsers can order them.

And one more pic:

I see. well, I definetely planned to go for the Prestige model that has the natural finish with the case. I've had enough black guitars to last a lifetime, I prefer to avoid that color whenever possible.

thanks for the info. I just want something with a fast neck, and Ibanez is the first that comes to my mind that I have plenty of personal experience with. I want to get the RGA and put some SD Blackouts in there. I think it will rip.

I wish there were more people like you....

Maybe then guitar companies wouldn't have created 78 shades of black....

lord knows it! I haven't ever had a guitar with a natural finish, so I look forward to getting it. probably next year in January. it's third on my list. Rivera K-tre next week, then a Vader 212 cab the next, and then we'll be off into the christmas shopping season, so I won't be able to squeeze another $900 out until after the month.

This is his new one, the DW76 (the Dave Weiner 7 string, with the 6 meaning his sixth custom model).

For all those who care, here are his LACS models:

2001 RG:

2002 RG:

2003 RG:

2004 RG:

2005 RG:

2007 S:

So for all of you wondering if an artist that has been backing up a very well known guitarist for years get's an amazing amount of guitars, he does not.
